The Bendalong district is well known for its pristine beaches, extensive bushland and local fauna. You can expect to see dolphins, sting rays, kangaroos and the occasional echidna and wombat, all in their natural habitat.
Manyana Beach, Inyadda Beach and Green Island are popular surfing beaches. Boat Harbour and Washerwoman’s Beach are more gentle with waves averaging less than 1m and fine white sand- perfect for families. Lake Conjola and Berringer Lake offer boating, sailing, water skiing, fishing, kayaking and swimming.
Other attractions include North Bendalong Village, The Hub Cafe (Bendalong), The Deli Cafe (Cunjurong Point) and the historic shipwreck of the Walter Hood. The local recreational park has a tennis court, soccer field and basketball court ready for family challenges. Often during school holidays the local volunteer fire brigade host a chocolate wheel and sausage sizzle and local markets are held at the community hall.
